In the current project, the idea is to design a workbench for the textile industry, for pattern layout and cutting, to allow the operator to carry out their tasks quickly and ergonomically. The goal is to maximize production by providing a tool equipped with a projection system for pattern layout and a manual cutting system. To improve the working conditions for the staff in a small costume production workshop, an ergonomic analysis of the current process is conducted, with the workshop owner responsible for the design, pattern layout, and cutting processes serving as the study subject. Finally, the basic principles of ergonomics are applied in the new table design, and a new time measurement is performed for each activity in the process to verify that the process becomes more efficient as well.
