Abstract

The steel industry is a strategic sector of economic development and highly influential in the rest of the activities. Mexico ranks thirteenth as a steel producer which means it is a major exporter worldwide. In the following article will be used the use of forecasts, we will evaluate the weighted moving average models and trend projections where the least squares method will be used. The techniques mentioned above were applied to thehistorical data of the plant capacity used in the steel complexes.
