The present work focused on the characterization of hydrocarbon contamination in an industrial property in the port of Altamira, Tamps. Within which the work marked by regulations was carried out, including geophysics with electrical resistivity, sampling of volatile elements of the contaminant and soil sampling, among others. The property belongs to the area near the coast which presents characteristics very typical of said sedimentary environment within which the behavior of the contaminant in the rocks and sediments that make up said property was known in order to propose a remediation scheme and free it from all contamination by hydrocarbons that are affecting the soil.
