The optimization of processes in the industry is of vital importance because of the high competitiveness that exists in the market, always trying to seek continuous improvement in their processes and mainly to be leading companies in the industry. Currently the industrial sector requires a large number of trained industrial engineers to collaborate in the execution of projects that allow the control, optimization and improvement of each of its processes, departments and administrative systems, both in goods and services companies , considering that Mexico is currently one of the countries with the best workforce (manufacturing), which is why it is vital and important to train students with the right tools and methods to face the new systems of competitive production, through practical cases that allow forging new knowledge and finding solutions to different problems. This is in order that through lean manufacturing or lean manufacturing it is possible to optimize the processes of SMEs, for the minimization of MUDAS (waste) that exist in their processes, these tools can be the SMED, Poka Yoke, Kanban , Kaizen, etc,
