Abstract

In the current research conducted in a company dedicated to the marketing of hardware and plumbing in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, there was an area of opportunity in the process of identification, measurement and control of existing waste in all areas of the organization. With the help of tools such as Ishikawa and Pareto diagrams, we were able to identify the company's waste and the extent to which it affected the company, including the lack of an inventory system, lack of control in the identification of materials, longer than normal customer service time, lack of demand planning, and inadequate plant distribution for the control of materials and products in the warehouse. Subsequently, strategies were proposed to eliminate or reduce as much as possible the identified waste and thus increase the value added by the entire organization and fulfill the project's purpose of improving the productivity of the SME through the implementation of Lean tools in service companies.
