Abstract

In 2015, the United Nations approved the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, which has 17 Sustainable Development Goals divided into 169 goals and evaluable thanks to the establishment of 232 specific indicators. To identify the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals, knowledge is essential. The objective of this research work was to evaluate the degree of knowledge of students from the different universities in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa, about the 17 Development Goals. Sustainable Agenda of the 2030 Agenda, under this assumption a survey-type evaluation instrument was carried out that consisted of 15 questions and was applied to representative samples of each institution. From the results, it is clear that the students of the Autonomous University of the West and the Higher Technological Institute of Guasave have greater knowledge of the 2030 Agenda, where 82% and 72% of the students respectively considered it very important to have a global agenda for sustainable development. On the other hand, the students of the 5 universities under study agree that the Sustainable Development Goals where they would like to contribute to their achievement actively are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8. From the above, it is clear that there is the commitment on the part of the students, however, greater dissemination of the indicators and goals of the Sustainable Development Goals is required by the universities of Guasave, Sinaloa.
