This article presents continuous improvement methods application in a plastic injection and assembly company, dedicated to the creation of innovative dispensing systems for the areas of beauty, home, food and drink; in order to reduce the scrap generated, since it has increased by more than double its amount. A document was designed and implemented to carry out the daily record of the units obtained from scrap, mainly indicating the reasons for their origin. This information was used to analyze specifically and in detail the production dispensers main problems. To determine the main causes of obtaining scrap, the Quality tool, the Ishikawa Diagram was used, followed by the use of continuous improvement methodologies; Failure Mode and Effect Analysis Diagram, 5S’s and Design Reengineering, which allowed its reduction and consequently increase the productivity of the area. Likewise, workers in the area were trained on issues related to continuous improvement and productivity; It was proposed to carry out a study on the machine that has the highest production and that serves the main customer of plastic dispensers, defining the need to apply a redesign to said machine. As a result of the improvements made, a 60% reduction in scrap due to color change and deformations was obtained.
